The Center for Information and Research on Civic Learning and Engagement says, youth voter turnout increased astronomically, doubling, tripling and even quadrupling the primary vote turnout in the 2000 and 2004 electoral seasons! Nationwide, Obama netted 59 percent of voters under 30 years old, while New York Senator Hillary Clinton was supported by only 38 percent. Young men supported Obama by a margin of 64 to 33 percent over Clinton, and young women supported Obama by 53 to 45 percent. These were black AND white voters!
